Pat finley
Nothing is more surprising to me than the fact that I’m a professional artist. I’m an Iowa farm girl who moved to Arizona for college and stayed there for the next for 25 years. I became a lawyer and practiced law in Arizona. Eventually, I retired from the practice of law and moved to Denver, a city I had fallen in love with.
By the time I moved to Denver, I had been creating art for fun under the supervision and mentorship of a close friend who had been a professional artist. In 2008, she declared that my art was good enough to sell. I had my doubts but gave it a shot at her insistence via the Art Students League of Denver’s annual Summer Art Market. To my rather complete surprise, I sold 13 pieces. I was launched.
I’ve been creating art ever since.
My art is collected by clients from Alaska to Boston as well as internationally.
